About NADAL
Can Nadal de la Boadella was founded at the beginning of the 16th century. The parchment signed by the notary Francesch Berthomeu in 1510 certifies the ownership of the property in the name of Pere Nadal, located in the district of Torrelavit. According to historical documentation, the Nadal Inheritance, faithful to the Catalan tradition, has passed from parents to children through their heir. It has never stopped cultivating the vineyard or making wine, not even in the most difficult years of the Civil War (1936-39), when part of the estate was expropriated to build a field of aviation

All our sparkling wines, in addition to meeting the strict requirements established by Corpinnat, are made exclusively with grapes from sustainable vineyards on our estate - where dryland cultivation allows us to emphasize the organoleptic characteristics of each vintage - and have aging in bottles in underground caves that goes from thirty months to twenty-three years.
White wines
Taking advantage of the benefits of climate change, with drier and hotter springs and summers, Nadal decides to produce white wines. From the 1998 harvest, the winery's first white wine is made, a single-varietal Xarello. From the 2014 harvest, and after a long work of recovery and rediscovery of the red Xarelello, the second dry white wine is put on the market.
Microvinifications
At Nadal, since the foundation of the winery in 1943, we have always worked with small wineries both to improve our products and to create new ones. Starting in 2020, we have decided to share with all Christmas Friends the best microvinifications. From the 2019 harvest, the winemaker and owner of the winery, Xavier Nadal, has selected a rosé Pinot Noir wine which, as it is a unique and very limited edition, will only be available for sale in our online store or at Wine cellar.
