What do BELLA FILA ARQUITECTES do?
We understand architecture as the colonization of a place by a functional program: The program is defined by the promoter and the place defines itself and is understood as a context in a broad sense.
The project may be subject to multiple conditions in different areas. From the need to integrate into complex built environments to the obligation to give continuity to urban landscapes of different idiosyncrasies. The project adapts to the place, the place to the project.
Although we believe that architecture has a duty to be sustainable, sometimes that desire has to be extreme. Working in a natural environment may require the design of buildings that are energy autonomous, that collect rainwater and recycle gray water, that filter faecal discharges and that minimize the generation of waste. The use of certain materials in the construction of buildings determines that local materials must be used in the construction. This favors both the integration of the building and the reduction of the ecological footprint
We analyze the requirements imposed by the regulations and we try to ensure that the project is not limited by them, seeking solutions that do not undermine the project and always trying to optimize the resources available.
With these premises we develop and execute the project in constant dialogue with the client. From the assimilation that architecture does not find beauty if it does not satisfy the function for which it has been conceived, we are evolving our work towards a sustainable construction that respects the environment without ceasing to have a desire for plastic and formal creation. which is what we believe will sublimate our work.
